Rain Break Today

Locals will get a break from the rain today, but National Weather Service forecasts call for rain again Tuesday through Thursday.
Today’s forecast call for patchy fog before 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Northeast wind around 6 mph. Tonight: A 30 percent chance of rain after 10pm. Increasing clouds, with a low around 37. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 8 mph.
The Coquille River remains 2.2 feet above its flood stage of 21 feet as of 2:30 a.m. this morning. Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. According to the NWS, the river will continue to fall and will be below flood stage around midnight tonight.
